On to the bears...I like this bear, he usually paces a lot, but today he was just sitting.

This was/is the closest I ever want to be to a big cat...we were just a few feet away...

Good thing there was a fence between us.

He was gorgeous though...

Spring is here

Today I went to the Missouri Botanical Garden. I don't think I've ever been to the garden in the spring.  Most everything is blooming, which is great for pictures and bad for my allergies. I went with a friend around noon, so I didn't get too many pictures...but here are some that I shot:

This is in the Japanese Garden. I liked the flowers floating in the fountain, swirling around the rippling water. An older man watched me shooting this and when I moved out of the way for him to view, he started taking the same shot.  His wife told me that imitation is the highest form of flattery.

For some reason, today was a close-up day for me. Most of the images I shot today were close-ups.
